Motorway E65 towards Mladá Boleslav, then follow highway No. 16 towards Jičín, Nová Paka, Hostinné, Svoboda n/Úpou, Janské Lázně

Direction from Ostrava, Olomouc

Go to Hradec Králové. Follow highway E67 towards Náchod, in Jaroměř turn to highway No. 37 towards Trutnov. Continue towards Pec pod Sněžkou. In Svoboda n/Úpou take the road to Janské Lázně

Parking information

Entry into the town centre is prohibited (except for commercial traffic and vehicles with a Town Office permit). Vehicle parking in other places but designated parking lots is prohibited in the whole town area.

Town entry permits are issued at the Town Office (during office hours only) or you can ask the accommodation facility operator to secure the entry permit for you.

For parking use the central parking lot under the cable railway, where you can find approximately 500 lots. You can also use the parking lot with a coin machine in the Lower Gallery – under the Christmas crib with the capacity of 20 lots, see map.

Another parking lot with a coin machine is located in Obchodní street in front of Arnika and Sola Fide hotels; you can use 13 lots + 5 lots for vehicles marked as 01 here.

The town is patrolled by Trutnov City Police officers, who check entry permits and authorizations to use parking lots.
Please, observe the traffic rules and respect traffic signs in the town.

Skibuses

In winter you can frequently use free ski-buses to transfer yourself from your accommodation place to the ski lifts, the cable railway and also between the individual ski resorts. Departures from Pardubice, Hradec Králové, Trutnov, Svoboda nad Úpou, Pec pod Sněžkou.
The ski-bus on the Janské Lázně CITY line is primarily designated for locally accommodated guests who support its operation by purchasing a card that they show when getting on the bus.

Bicycle-buses

Bicycle-buses are available for both hikers and bicyclists during the summer season. In the period from June 3 till September 25 this bus operates on Saturdays and Sundays in June, from July 1 till August 31 every day and in September every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
Buses on these lines are adapted to transport at least 15 bicycles.
